Our
farm is surrounded by the lake and a landscape of
cultivated fields and hills covered by woods, most
of which make up the nearby Turona Park offering
naturalistic and archaeological paths.
The lake takes its name from the City of Bolsena
(4000 inhabitants), which presents many remains of
the Etruscan, Roman and Medieval civilisations on
its territory. For the lovers of naturalistic tours,
the Bisentina Island, the Natural Reserve of Rufeno
Mount, the Amiata Mount, the Argentario, Saturnia
and Popes’ baths in Viterbo represent only some
possible itineraries.
The lovers of Art’s History can reach important
cities of Lazio, Umbria and Tuscany in a very short
time: Rome, Siena, Florence, Orvieto, Perugia,
Arezzo etc.; as well as small but interesting
centres close to the Lake such as: Pitigliano,
Sovana, Civita di Bagnoregio, Pienza, Montalcino,
Todi, Tarquinia, etc. |
